Sometimes making decisions can generate a lot of concern later on!  The Edmonton Coliseum as it sits, is a completely functional building that only requires people with vision in order to see it's real potential.  What could possibly be the reasons for wanting to demolish such an iconic building that has put Edmonton on the map for the past 50 years?  What could possibly be the motivating factors that would permit the introduction of BILLIONS of tons of carbon into the atmosphere through the process of demolition of the building?

These are all questions designed to get us to think about preserving Edmonton's heritage buildings and continuing to put Edmonton on the world map of innovation and environmentalists.  You need to keep in mind that ENVIRONMENTALISM was invented in Alberta starting as far back as 1890.

This video explains how Environmentalism was started and became a recognizable concern in Alberta in 1908, as well as experimentation of North America's first Asphalt paved roads made from the oil soaked sand that was falling into our waterways.
